EDELWEISS
is exposed to the intense solar radiation
found at high altitudes, and protects itself from UVB
by secreting phenolic acids, and from UVA by secreting
a large quantity of flavonoids, these substances filter
radiation
and have anti-radical properties, as well as emollient
and softening qualities due to their mucilage content.
EDELWEISS is a powerful
anti-oxidant used
in creams to protect the skin against the cold,
the sun, dryness and also for moisturising and
remineralising.
